DoggCatcher Gets Updated To Version 1.1.1823, Adds New Functionality And Gets UI Tweak

Although we just recently mentioned one of our favorite Pod Casting apps, DoggCatcher, we thought it would be worth noting again in a separate post, as the developer has just given it an update. Now at version 1.1.1823, the update provides a cleaner, streamlined UI. In addition, he added a theme option which allows you to toggle between dark and light backgrounds. Furthermore, when playing a particular pod cast, you can now see the title directly above the player no matter where you navigate within the app, so you’ll always know which feed is currently playing. And while most are complaining about the small fonts, I think the minor UI refresh compliments the app very well.

For those of you not familiar with DoggCatcher, it’s a pod cast player that allows you to download and view both pod casts and RSS feeds on the go, seamlessly in one app. It has an extensive collection of popular audio feeds and also incorporates pre-filled feeds from popular shows like Twit, Revision 3, NPR, BBC and more. If you’ve been looking for a great pod cast player to assist in cutting loose that wired connection to your PC, then look no further. And as we mentioned it in our previous post, the app will run you $7 bucks, but its functionality makes it completely worth it. And speaking of pod casts, don’t forget to check out Talk Android’s Infobyte Pod Cast, ran weekly every Monday. Head on over to our apps database to check out DoggCatcher or grab it on the market for more info. And don’t forget to leave us a comment below letting us know what you think.
